Holy majoly it’s 2008! I feel as if I haven’t posted much as of late and that obviously would be because I haven’t posted much as of late. It’s amazing how much time is taken up with holiday shenanagans and being 1/2 of the worlds most disgustingly happy couple. New Years was brought in technically at my friend (and coworker) Meghan’s awesomely located NoLIta apt. But the real event of the night was New Yeah Shanghai Deluxe!
Yep that is the actual name of the restaurant that our little group chose to have our new traditional new years meal of dim sum and other chinese foods and copious amounts of wine all brought to you by the giant lazy susan in the middle of the table. The staff…well as you can see the staff was…uh…enthusiatic and pleasant. Er…yeah…actually they were so horrible it was funny and they kicked us out at 11pm. But we all ate more than was even close to prudent and it was super cheap. So Yay New Yeah! I made a video aka “the lazy susan cam” but have yet to be able to download it from Meghan’s camera. But in general it can be summed up as this. Kate - happy and waves, Beth - happy, empty chair - empty, Haas - looking like he’s going to kill (which I am finding is the general normal face he makes) Stacy - so incredibly amused and excited that she is making a video with the lazy susan that she actually looks sorta developmently disabled, Justin - not paying attention, Meghan - pleasantly smiling as she does always because she is pleasant, Nick - confused, end of movie. Now this all takes place in like 20 secs but it was great! It’ll go up as soon as I can procure it.
The rest of the year has been good. I have moved into my own place. I do not have a mattress yet. (Fuck you UPS!) But other than not being able to sleep there it’s coming together nicely. Be looking for a house warming invite sometime in the next few weeks. Looking to have the shindig in early Feb. But look for pictures sooner rather than later as I get the place decorated. Yay decorating!
